Not their first truce. Not even their second…
Nina and Virgil declared several truces over the months since Nina started seeing Rhys Witherby. But a truce with Rhys’s vampire brother rarely held for long. This time, with her suspicions on high alert, banning Virgil from her café again feels timely.
But first, she needs to know why he keeps returning to the café. Far more often than usual. Each time, he glares at her, a part of their deal. But most of his attention remains fixed on the front door.
