Darkness, rain, and a looming threat…
Closing time at the café normally marks a peaceful and contented time for Nina. Even on dark and rainy nights. The lights low. The place quiet. The routine of shutting everything down. Calm, gentle rain outside. And the soothing sounds of the bookstore owner next door closing up for the night.
Except tonight, something feels off.
Her familiar Boo paces in front of the closed café door, his fur standing on end. Sensing strange magic Nina can’t. Magic building all around the café. A threat with no clear origin.
And her boyfriend Rhys Witherby has been out of touch for days.
With the growing danger building just outside her door, a rain storm might be the least of Nina’s problems.
